Temporary Administrative Assistant – Health & Safety

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Administrative Assistant to support our Health & Safety department with a documentation reformatting project. The primary responsibility of this role will be to review, update, and reformat Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and related safety documents within Microsoft Word to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with technical documents, and very proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Reformat existing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and Health & Safety documentation using Microsoft Word
- Ensure documents follow established formatting, branding, and compliance standards
- Edit and update text for clarity, consistency, and accuracy while maintaining original content intent
- Organize documents and apply consistent styles, headings, tables, and numbering
- Collaborate with Health & Safety team members to clarify document requirements
- Maintain version control and ensure all updated documents are properly saved and filed
- Meet project timelines and handle multiple documents efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word (styles, formatting, tables, headers/footers, templates)
- Previous administrative or document control experience (Health & Safety or technical documentation experience is an asset)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Health & Safety documentation or policies
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures or industrial safety documents
- Experience with document standardization or formatting projects
